How do you stay focused on school/university/college?

Are you in the right major? Are you dreading doing these things cause you are caught up with social things in your life? or are you dreading them because you don't like doing them? There is a difference. If you are caught up in the social aspect of things and can't concentrate on school it is normal for freshman, but still needs to be taken seriously. If you can't stand the material you are learning (aside from the general courses EVERYONE is required to take and everyone dreads) than perhaps you are in the wrong major. If you hate it now, how will you do it in 30 years ?
