Your mother talked like that??? My mother never swore. Maybe that's part of the reason I can't stand being around people who talk coarse and rough. When "every other word is an expletive or full of ual innuendo" - in addition to making someone sound uneducated with a limited vocabulary, it makes them seem unstable and stressful to be around. You had a totally different experience, though, so for you it is probably comforting since it brings back memories of your mom. Why wouldn't you mention it to your wife? A lot of people talk crudely. Maybe your wife would think the "tramp" was coming on to you? You're right - that could present a problem. No need to mention it then.
