Is it ok to let my 2 month old baby cry hysterically because their pacifier fell out of their mouth?

You probably already know but I'll say it just in case. Make sure it's not another problem like dirty diaper, hunger, gas pains, he needs to be swaddled, or he needs to be rocked to sleep. My baby is 3 months and she doesn't need a paci, just all of the above. I'm not against letting babies cry but I only allow it for like 10 mins before trying to comfort her again.
