I am a high school student looking into being an actuary after college, any suggestions? [from actuaries?]?

Get a degree in mathematics. Most BA or BS in mathematics degrees actually require one or two courses in "mathematics for actuarials." What should you do now? get cracking on your math. Keep your high school calculus textbook and read through it frequently, try to be ahead on it. I'm studying electrical engineering, which takes a lot of math as well, and that's how I've been handling it -- just reading ahead to the next few sections or into what will be covered next semester. Because of that, I was the first person to get an A in the circuit ysis I cl in several years (average test scores have historically been around 20%, with the highest being near 40%, and mine being about 95%), and I still haven't taken linear algebra or ordinary differential equations, both of which ought to be considered as prerequisites to the course. Just stay ahead and you'll do great.
