Are birth control pills unhealthy?

I am currently on birth control and the side effects really arnt bad. Granted in only going to be a junior in high school right now but iv been taking them since seventh grade and i have been on several different brands. So from expreience the side effects arnt bad unless you are taking a high high dose. I dont reccomend Yaz, it was the worst syptoms ive ever had on any birth control but that is my body.. Your body might take it differently if your older. My 19 year old sister was on Yaz and didnt have as bad syptoms but still had them. And as far as like messing up your body, all birth control is is hormones in a pill. It is used to have increased hormones throughout the month then having less hormones at the week of your period. These increased hormones will not let sperm fertilize the egg. Hense the name birth control. Once you stop them you will be able to have kids if you so choose. Your Hormone levels will decrease and sperm will be able to the egg.
